Former Bloomberg BusinessWeek Senior Correspondent Kerry Capell Joins RF as SVP Focusing on Global Multinational Accounts
July 19, 2010
Ruder Finn, one of the world's largest, independent public relations agencies, has named former Bloomberg BusinessWeek London senior correspondent Kerry Capell as a Senior Vice President. She will continue to be based in Europe.
With fifteen years of reporting experience covering global economic and corporate trends, innovation and strategic initiatives across all industry sectors, Capell will provide senior level counsel for Ruder Finn's multinational clients.
Capell will report to Kathy Bloomgarden, Co-CEO of Ruder Finn, Inc.
"In a landscape where large businesses are more and more under scrutiny from the public and the media, someone with the perspective of one of the world's leading business publications is a critical asset for us and for our clients," said Bloomgarden.
Capell joined Bloomberg BusinessWeek in 1995 and assumed the position as London senior correspondent in 1999. Prior to this role, she was an international finance editor and a staff editor in the Personal Business section. Before Capell joined BusinessWeek, she was the managing editor of Financial Planning magazine.
"I'm excited to join Ruder Finn, especially at a time when companies are often on the defensive in the wake of the global economic crisis and deflated public trust," said Capell. "Conveying the value companies are adding and the good they're doing is more important than ever, especially in the current fragmented media environment."
"We're very pleased Kerry is joining us," Bloomgarden added. "Her addition to the Ruder Finn team represents our continuing commitment to understanding and responding to the changing media environment."
