Dr. Kathy Bloomgarden is Co-CEO of Ruder Finn Inc., one of the world's largest independent public relations agencies. With more than 25 years of experience in communications for multinational companies, including global communications activities for Novartis, BP, HP, Pfizer, Microsoft, McKinsey, and Sun Microsystems, Dr. Bloomgarden has developed particular skills in global communications consulting.

Dr. Bloomgarden is a board member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Partnership for New York City, the Atlantic Council, and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. She is the author of Trust: The Secret Weapon of Effective Business Leaders and holds a B.A. from Brown University, an M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University in Political Science, and a certificate from the East Asian Institute. She is fluent in French, and has a working knowledge of Chinese, Italian, and basic German and Russian.
